Madison - Indulge in Water Sports and Hiking

Home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison is the capital of the U.S. state of Wisconsin and the county seat of Dane County. Created in 1836 when former federal judge James Duane Doty purchased over a thousand acres (4 km²) of swamp and forest land on the isthmus between Lakes Mendota and Monona within the Four Lakes region, with the intention of building a city on the site, Madison is the second largest city in Wisconsin, after Milwaukee, and the 82nd largest in the United States.

Have great time in Madison as it offers much in the way of accommodations, attractions and activities. Located in Waunakee, Governor Nelson State Park provides opportunities for water sports, hiking, picnicking and more. In the winter the park is also open for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Come to the Capital Brewing Company in Middleton which features live outdoor music in a beer garden every Friday and Saturday from May to September.

Janesville
in Madison is an ideal place to stay. Choose your best accommodation as shop in many of its shopping centers. During the summer months, Janesville hosts the Rock Aqua Jays Waterski Shows, a carefully choreographed spectacle that features professional waterskiers. Home to several golf courses, Janesville welcomes golfers of all skill levels during the warmer months.
